Penn Highlands Clearfield EMS Is Conducting Its 2024-2025 Membership Drive
The Clearfield community and surrounding areas rely on Penn Highlands Clearfield EMS to respond when they are experiencing medical emergencies. Since 1932, they have been responding to calls for heart attacks, strokes, accidents and injuries 24/7 – 365 days a year. They are there when you need them.
From May 15 through June 30, 2024, Penn Highlands Clearfield EMS is conducting its annual Open Enrollment/Membership Drive. The ambulance membership plan covers medically necessary emergency transports to the closest appropriate hospital according to Medicare guidelines at cms.gov. In addition, the plan covers any uninsured portion of a claim, insurance co-payments and deductibles for every member of a household at an affordable rate.
“We rely on insurance reimbursements and memberships to fund our operations,” said Tim Lumadue, Director of Penn Highlands Clearfield EMS. “We receive no revenue from a tax-based assessment and operate as a charitable, non-profit company,”
Individual membership is $55 and the Family Plan is $80. Cash, checks and money orders are accepted. Memberships received after June 30, 2024 will be subject to a 30-day waiting period. Memberships are not prorated.
